Orthodox Chants for Easter
John Paul II said that the Church breathes with two lungs East and West.
Like Gregorian Chant, it's interesting in English but it doesn't sound nearly as reverent. (I really am becoming a traditionalist!)
I thought that these snippets of Orthodox chants from around the world were kind of cool. Enjoy!
Of course, I'm not forgetting the Eastern Rite Catholics.

Alleluia, He Is Risen!
THE LORD IS RISEN INDEED, ALLELUIA!
I have loved this song ever since I first heard it. We sang it at the Episcopal Church Cursillo I attended way back when. Enjoy!

Alleluia! He Is Risen!

The Lord Is Risen Indeed! Alleluia!
Almighty God, who through Your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life; Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord's resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by Your life-giving Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. (Source: 1979 BCP p. 222)
