Honor and Betrayal

U.S. Navy SEALs are some of the most highly trained, most elite warriors in the American armed forces.  In September, 2009, a team of Navy SEALs in Iraq captured Ahmad Hashim
Abd al-Isawi, the so-called “Butcher of Fallujah,” who was responsible for thousands of deaths including those of four American Blackwater contractors whose bodies were mutilated, burned and hung from a bridge.

What was the reward for these brave fighting men who brought a heinous terrorist to justice?  Court-martial and disgrace.  Three SEALs were charged with prisoner abuse for allegedly hitting al-Isawi while he was in custody.  The only witnesses for the government were the terrorist and an emotionally unstable naval policeman who had earlier repeatedly abandoned his post and changed his story about what happened.  The only visible injuries to the prisoner were a split lip which a doctor testified were probably self-inflicted.

Despite pleas from Congress and public outrage, the military high command stubbornly proceeded with the prosecutions.  Even after two of the SEALs were acquitted after trials in Iraq, the commanding officer, Major General Charles T. Cleveland, insisted that the prosecution of the remaining SEAL go forward.

Journalist Patrick Robinson has written an expose of the politically correct hypocrisy of the Obama military.  It is a military which is more concerned with how our military appears to the United Nations than in achieving victory.  Robinson’s book, Honor and Betrayal, should be required reading for every American.  And every Patriot should be deeply ashamed at how our current government treats our bravest and most decorated warriors.

Canadian Woman on Trial for Participating in Illegal Mass

A Montreal Catholic group rented a room in a public facility.  The regulations for the facility say that no "cultic activity" is allowed on public property.  The Catholic group held a Mass.  The woman who rented the room has been charged with violating the regulations and is scheduled to stand trial in Montreal.  Apparently, you can drink and party till you drop in these rented banquet halls but prayer and celebration of the Holy Mass is considered Disorderly Conduct.  Read the full story here.

Captain Honors: The Bad Catholic Opinion

This blog post is not politically correct and will likely offend the squeamish. If you are sensitive stop reading now and go to Salon.com.

Here's my two cents worth about the suspension of Captain Honors of the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Enterprise for making a racy comedy video for the crew while he was the Executive Officer. Political Correctness is destroying the United States of America. I've seen the video, which is available on the Internet, and I say "So What?" It's no worse than what's on cable TV every single day. There is much worse stuff put up on You Tube all the time.

This officer was just trying to do something to make the crew laugh and uplift their morale during a long cruise. OOOOH, they made fun of gay people and had jokes about sex and masturbation! Have we gone crazy?

Let's get real people: THE PURPOSE OF THE MILITARY IS TO KILL THE ENEMIES OF OUR COUNTRY!

If we're this politically correct, we need to pack it in now, pull down Old Glory and go ahead and let the North Koreans and Iranians march in and take over, because that's what's going to happen. If we now live in a country where our fighting men and women, whom we expect to take bullets for us and kill the enemy for us, can't blow off a little steam with a few off color jokes, then we are truly doomed.

Using today's politically correct standards, there is no way that the Allies would have won World War II. What would these politically correct pinheads have done with a hard-bitten, hard fighting soldier like General George S. Patton?

That's my two cents worth.

Desecration Of Koran = Prison/ Desecration of Bible = Art

In follow up to my earlier post regarding the arrest of a 15 year girl in Great Britian for hate speech for burning a copy of the Koran, where I asked would she have been arrested had it been a Bible, here is an article from the UK blog Cranmer discussing an art exhibit in Scotland where museum patrons were invited to desecrate a Bible. So apparently, in the country which used to be the United Kingdom, blaspheming the holy book of Islam gets a child a possible prison sentence, but blaspheming the holy book of Christianity in a country whose state religion is supposed to be Christianity is lauded as "Art." Wonderful.

Down where I live in the heart of the Bible Belt in rural Southwest Georgia, it is hard to believe that this is the kind of thinking that will soon be the rule in most major cities here in the good old U.S. of A. We have already been told that when we buy an airline ticket for a domestic flight that we surrender our rights guaranteed by the 4th and 14th amendments to the U.S. Constitution against unreasonable searches and seizures. How long will it be before we are also told that we must surrender our 1st Amendment rights to freedom of speech in the name of "tolerance"?

NPR: NATIONAL POLITICALLY CORRECT RADIO

NPR has fired Juan Williams for telling the TRUTH.

Like Jack Nicholson said in A Few Good Men maybe its because the lefties at NPR CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH.

To quote the Fount of All Wisdom, Forrest Gump, "That's all I have to say about that!"

The region of Catalonia in Spain has passed a law banning bull fights. What in the world would Ernest Hemingway think about this? Read the full story from Yahoo.

Saint Boniface, Bishop and Martyr

Saint Boniface was born in England about the year 673. He was first professed in the monastic life at Exeter but in 719 went to Germany to preach the Gospel. He made many converts there and was consecrated bishop, ruling over the church at Mainz. He attracted many companions by whose help he founded or restored dioceses in Bavaria, Thuringia and Franconia. He also convened councils and promulgated laws. While preaching the Gospel to the Frisians, Saint Boniface was killed by pagans in 754. His body is buried in the monastery of Fulda.

As the cool illustration shows, one of the things that Saint Boniface was known for was destroying pagan shrines and building Christian Churches on top of them to show the power of the true God. Here he is depicted chopping down a holy tree dedicated to the pagan God Thor. In other words, Saint Boniface was definitely not politically correct in respecting the beliefs of the pagans! In our politically correct, morally relativistic culture, where we are required to believe that the beliefs of all people are equally valid, no doubt Saint Boniface would get martyred again.

Lord, your martyr Boniface spread the faith by his teaching and witnessed to it with his blood. By the help of his prayers keep us loyal to our faith and give us the courage to profess it in our lives. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

You Must Comply With Our Opinion Or Else!

Society can no longer tolerate the prejudicial and backward views of those who adhere to outmoded concepts like orthodox Christian belief. Those who continue to stubbornly hold to the teachings of hate groups like the Roman Catholic Church must either be re-educated or punished. No opinions disagreeing with the consensus of enlightened thinkers can be tolerated.

CANDIAN GOVERNMENT MANDATES THAT CATHOLIC SCHOOL CHILDREN MUST NOT THINK LIKE CATHOLICS

Canada.com reports that the Quebec Ministry of Education has mandated that Catholic schools must teach an "ethics course" which denies the existence of God and teaches "recognition of the dignity of the other," which we can probably read as acceptance of homosexuality, abortion, and other sinful behavior.

630 of 731 parents of Loyola High School in Montreal have asked that their children not be taught the course, which, of course, the government refuses. You know, it takes a village to raise a child, as Ms. Clinton said, which means that the government should teach current politically correct values to your children and not let you teach them some ignorant superstition like Christianity. Of course, militant Islam is OK since they are an oppressed third world minority.
