Barcelona Bans Bull Fighting
The region of Catalonia in Spain has passed a law banning bull fights. What in the world would Ernest Hemingway think about this? Read the full story from Yahoo.
I remember reading somewhere that Pope (I think Pius XI) remarked that the bellowing of a slaughtered animal had no more significance than the slamming of a door in the wind.
No, he was not speaking ex-cathedra, but I completely agree with whoever said it.
It is outrageous that the very people who care most about animal rights are often indifferent to the slaughter of the unborn human.
The next time I am in Real Spain (not Catalonia) I'm going to a bull fight, if only as a gesture.
